The governance of the library system lies in the hands of a dedicated Board of Trustees. The Library Board of Trustees assumes the responsibility of adopting essential policies required for the smooth operation of the regional library system, ensuring its continued success in serving and enriching the community it proudly serves. There are nine volunteer trustees appointed by the respective City Council or Boards of Supervisors. Terms are four-year terms, with no more than two successive terms.
