A community that is enriched, enlightened, and empowered.

Be Our Friend

Support Your Library

Our library system is fortunate to have two 501(c) (3) non-profit organizations that enable our library to move from good to great -- providing the resources for additional programming; much needed equipment, support for children’s summer reading, and special events throughout the year.

Your support of Appomattox Regional Library System is greatly appreciated and goes a long way in providing exceptional library services to residents and guests!

Role of the Friends

Friends Groups provide significant support to the library in different ways.

Advocacy: The friends are able to advocate on behalf of the library at the local, state, and federal level.

Financial: The friends help provide the resources for additional programming; much needed equipment, support for children’s summer reading, and special events throughout the year.

Service: Many of our friends choose to give the gift of their time to the Friends bookstore, fundraisers, book sales and outreach events that spread the word and raise funds for the library.
