A community that is enriched, enlightened, and empowered.

Be Our Friend

Friends of the Library

The Hopewell/Prince George Friends and the Friends of the Library, Dinwiddie invite you to join them as "Fun and Friend Raisers" for your local libraries. The Appomattox Regional Library has an ever growing list of resources and programs which are available FREE to the local community. The mission of the Friends groups is to help get the word out!

If you clicked on this page, you probably already place a high value on the library and want to let others know about this great community resource. You realize that Communities Thrive @ Your Library®.

The Friends also raise funds to support new initiatives in the library through purchase of new items like the gaming equipment and popcorn machine which have brought more families and teens to the library to experience that great library feeling!

The Friends donate to the Summer Reading Programs and provide funding for many of the other programs at the library: Virginia author events and local musical talent.

This year, the Hopewell/PG Friends of the Library are supporting staff development by funding the registration for library staff members to attend the American Library Association Conference in Washington, DC this summer.

Share your love of books and reading. Join the Friends of the Library today! For more information, stop by your local branch or contact Jan Rowley by email at jrowley@arls.org or by phone at (804) 458-6329 ext 2001.
