The APPOMATTOX REGIONAL LIBRARY SYSTEM currently has the following openings:

Accounting Clerk LA2 (Full Time) $30,950 annually. Responsible for assisting with administrative duties including, billing, cash management, payroll, purchasing, general office work, and other duties as required. Performs duties as directed by the Regional Library Director. Basic bookkeeping experience.  Experience working in an office setting and computer literate.  Bachelor’s degree preferred or any combination of high school diploma, and a minimum of 4 years work related experience.

Library Director (Full-Time) $70,704 annually. ARLS seeks an energetic, collaborative, and innovative leader to serve as library director. The right person will be committed to making the library central to the community’s cultural and economic life. We have provided collaborative regional library service for the city of Hopewell, and the counties of Dinwiddie and Prince George for over 40 years, and together these localities achieve the mission of enriching and informing for life-long education. Located in the Piedmont area of Virginia, one is only an hour from the ocean and hour to the mountains.  The service area of the library is industrial, rural and progressively urban/suburban.  It is a unique opportunity for a dynamic library leader to hone their skills serving a diverse population. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, a master’s degree from an ALA-accredited library school, plus over 5 years of progressively responsible library experience.
