COVID-19 Vaccine Resources
Everyone over the age of 12 years old is eligible to receive a vaccine in Virginia, no matter which health district you live or work in.
The Virginia Department of Health Offers Vaccine Scheduler Assistance
Anyone over the age of 12 can receive a covid-19 vaccine. The VDH has created a tool that will help you search your area for available vaccine appointments online or you can call the call center. The call center can help you schedule an appointment, or answer questions you might have. They are available Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to take your call. Assistance is available in English, Spanish, and more than 100 additional languages. Video assistance in American Sign Language is available by clicking the "ASL NOW" on their website.
United States Department of Health and Human Services Covid-19 Vaccine Finder
Works with pharmacies and local health organizations to help schedule free covid-19 vaccines to anyone over the age of 12 that wants one.
Independent Pharmacies Offering Vaccine Appointments
If you would like to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, you can either find an appointment through the VDH or schedule one through one of these independent pharmacies. Every pharmacy is different, but most are offering vaccines to anyone over the age of 12. Here are a few pharmacies offering the vaccine for you to review their requirements and check for an appointment. New appointments are added daily, so we suggest checking frequently.
Appomattox Regional Library System is not endorsing these companies. We simply want to provide information on available vaccine appointments to our patrons.
A group of tech-savvy individuals have created a website called Vaccine Spotter that scans many of the pharmacies listed above, and others, for available appointment times. This website isn't just limited to VA. It has information for every state. Vaccine Spotter compiles a lot of information and updates it every minute. It can get confusing, but if you can navigate websites easily it's a good place to look for appointments. Appointment restrictions based on phase eligibility will still apply.
