Find a Vaccine Appointment

We recommend everyone pre-register with the VDH. Answering those questions will help you know which priority category you fit into. Virginia has developed 3 categories before the vaccine will be available to the general public, 1A, 1B, 1C.

Learn more about the Vaccine Phases

Every local health department is in a different phase depending on their population and the amount of vaccine administered. This can get confusing, particularly if you live and work in different health districts. The library's jurisdictions, Hopewell, Prince George, and Dinwiddie are all a part of the Creator Health District.

Which Phase is My Health District In?

Independent Pharmacies Offering Vaccine Appointments

Your local health department will contact you using the VDH Pre-Registration list. If you do not qualify for a priority phase you must wait for your health department to proceed and open vaccinations to the general population. If you qualify for a priority phase you can wait for your health department to contact you, or you can attempt to schedule your own vaccine through a pharmacy. Every pharmacy is different, but most are offering vaccines to those in their district's current priority group. Here are a few pharmacies offering the vaccine for you to review their requirements and check for an appointment. New appointments are added daily, so we suggest checking frequently.

Bremo Pharmacy

Sam's Club (no membership needed)

Walnut Hill Pharmacy

Buford Road Pharamacy

Appomattox Regional Library System is not endorsing these companies. We simply want to provide information on available vaccine appointments to our patrons.

Vaccine Spotter

A group of tech-savvy individuals have created a website called Vaccine Spotter that scans many of the pharmacies listed above, and others, for available appointment times. This website isn't just limited to VA. It has information for every state. Vaccine Spotter compiles a lot of information and updates it every minute. It can get confusing, but if you can navigate websites easily it's a good place to look for appointments. Appointment restrictions based on phase eligibility will still apply.
