Starting Monday May 18th we are opening three locations, Hopewell, Prince George, and Carson, for Curbside Pick-Up!

You will need to put an item on hold to be notified for curbside service. If you already have an item on hold from before the closures we will call you to plan the pick-up. You can place items on hold on our catalog. You will need to have your library card number and PIN. You can also call us during the open hours listed below. You must be notified that your hold is ready before you come to pick it up.

The Administration and Staff of the Appomattox Regional Library System take concerns about the COVID-19 coronavirus seriously. The library has decided to close all branches until FURTHER NOTICE. We take this action out of an abundance of caution at the recommendation of state and local authorities.

All items checked out during this time will not accrue overdue charges. If you are able, please keep all materials with you and do not return the items. We will keep patrons updated with opening news as soon as we are able.

You can borrow materials online from the library through the library’s Overdrive, Hoopla, and RBDigital accounts. Overdrive gives access to books and audiobooks. Hoopla gives access to books, audiobooks, music and movies. Hoopla’s resources are always available with no waiting period for borrowing.  RBDigital provides access to audiobooks and digital magazines.

Patrons are always welcome to email staff with any questions at Thank you for your continued support of the Appomattox Regional Library System. The library will continue to update its webpage, Facebook and newsletter with any changes in circumstances or additional information as it becomes available.
