How to Perform a Basic Search
- Locate the “Search” box in the right-hand column. Enter the subject, title, or author for which you wish to search. Click “Catalog.”
- Or, click here to go directly to the catalog, and enter your search term there.
How to Perform an Advanced Search
- Locate the “Search” box in the right-hand column. Enter the subject, title, or author for which you wish to search. Click “Catalog.”
- Click on the “Advanced Search” button located in the upper, center area of the screen.

- The Advanced Search dialog box will appear.

- The first drop down menu gives you several search options. You can limit by Author, Subject, Title, and more. Choose the search option that works best for you.
- The second drop down menu allows you make the search more or less specific. For broader results, select “Begins With.” For fewer, more specific results, select “Exact Match.” Tip: Select “Begins With” if you are unsure of the accuracy of your search term.
- Once you have set the limits of your search, you may enter your search term in the field.
- Click on the plus button to add more search terms. Tip: The more search terms and limitations you set, the more focused and fewer your results will be.

- When you’re done setting search limitations and entering search terms, click the “Search” button to view results.
