The Appomattox Regional Library System exhibits original art of various media and subjects. Exhibits can be located in any of our library locations. All exhibits are free and open to the public.
Exhibiting at ARLS
Art exhibition proposals are accepted continuously. Applications (available at our libraries and on our website) must be accompanied by photos and a list of the exhibit items. The list of exhibition items should include dimensions of each piece and the medium used.
- Use the Art Exhibit Application (Printable form) to apply by mail or deliver in person to any ARLS library branch. Mail along with photos and the list of exhibit items to: Art Advisory Committee, ARLS, 209 East Cawson Street, Hopewell, VA 23860.
- Use the Art Exhibit Application (Printable form) to apply by email. Email the application, along with photos and the list of exhibit items, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Use Art Exhibit Application (Online Form) to submit an application online. Send the photos and list of exhibit items by email to email@example.com.
Applicants should review the ARLS Art Policy to be sure that their exhibit will meet the library's requirements.
The Art Advisory Committee, composed of members of the community who are knowledgeable in the field of art, reviews all exhibit applications. The Committee will schedule exhibit times and locations for accepted exhibitions and inform applicants about the status of their application.
