About Art in the Library

The Appomattox Regional Library System exhibits original art of various media and subjects. Exhibits can be located in any of our library locations. All exhibits are free and open to the public.

Exhibiting at ARLS

Art exhibition proposals are accepted continuously. To apply, send an application (available at our libraries and on our website), photos and a list of the exhibit pieces in person at any ARLS library branch, by mail or email to the Art Advisory Committee. Mailed submissions may be sent to: Art Advisory Committee, ARLS, 209 East Cawson Street, Hopewell, VA 23860; or send by email to cmcpherson@arls.org.

Applicants should review the ARLS Art Policy to be sure that their exhibit will meet the library’s requirements.

The Art Advisory Committee, composed of members of the community who are knowledgeable in the field of art, reviews all exhibit applications. The Committee will schedule exhibit times and locations for accepted exhibitions and inform applicants about the status of their Art Exhibit Application.
