Join the Appomattox Regional Library System in Dinwiddie AND Hopewell Tuesday, June 22nd to learn about early Virginia life on the water. 
Sit back and enjoy a program with a steam boat captain, as he tells stories and shares some history of life on the water. You may even hear about pirates in Virginia!

Performer Dennis Farmer will talk to youth at the Hopewell and Dinwiddie libraries on June 22 about life on the water in historic Virginia.
Life on the Water: From Dugouts to Deep Seas is a 45 minute program that will feature living history performer Dennis Farmer, who will bring along materials to view and handle in order to bring Virginia’s past alive.
Presentations will take place at 10:30 a.m. in Dinwiddie and at 1:30 p.m. in Hopewell.
The Youth Summer Reading Program will run until August 13th. Registration materials are available at all branches of the Appomattox Regional Library System.
