Join us for the Grow Together! gardening program May 13th at 7pm at the Hopewell Library to get free seeds from the Dinner Garden!

The Dinner Garden’s founder, Holly Hirshberg, loves libraries, enjoys gardening, and is passionate about abolishing hunger. “Afraid you can’t grow anything?” Hirshberg writes on her web site, “Don’t be tricked into thinking you are not a gardener. We are all gardeners. Anyone can grow their own food. The seeds do all the work!”
Since its founding in 2009, The Dinner Garden has provided seeds to over 48,000 families and over 120 community gardens. The organization operates thanks to donations of gardening supplies, seeds, and of course, cash. The Dinner Garden website includes gardening information, recipes, a blog and newsletter, news stories, and testimonials.
Hirshberg reminds us that the essential ingredients to grow food are seeds, dirt, and water. You find the dirt and water; The Dinner Garden has provided us with the seeds.
